This baby will record HD video and shoot stills at the same time. I can see using this to record key moments such as exchanging the ring and first kiss / first dance.
Now if only the price wasn't £2300 vs $2700... hmmmmm...
Here's my take on it.
The extra ISO range will be invaluable given some of the low-light venues i shoot in. The 4fps will come in handy but it's not really of that much interest for the event and wedding work i do.
The VGA screen is nice to get a better view of the image, again nice but not essential.
The extra resolution will be nice, but, means i'll need bigger CF cards and get less on a card. Of course it will be handy if people want 100ft prints :)
Creative Auto Mode - as with the 50d, gives a little more help to new shooters - though why they will be spending £2300 on a camera they don't know how to use i don't know!
2 smaller RAW formats, at last!
sRAW with 10mpx, more than enough for those candid shots - saves me some space on my card with the flexability of RAW, I wonder if it will be possible to get even better high-iso performance from using this....
Peripheral Illumination Correction - like auto-vignette correction - i leave this off - i like the effect :)
Adaptive Dynamic Range Optimization - this feature looks interesting if it works the same as nikons equivalent - i just hope it doesn't eat buffer space the same.
High Tone Priority - i have this on my 1d3, i tend not to use it much as it reduces the ISO's i can select and can hence stop me getting a shot i need to.
Stealth Modes
I'll let you know when mine arrives as to how it will do for my kind of work....
Stay Tuned.
